Why breakfast?

Most days I have a Bran scone or Muesli with Greek yoghurt - but today Stornoway black pudding with mashed banana and Parmesan cheese.

I have battling a bit with sugar level. I have had 2 Oatibix for breakfast and can feel my sugar level has risen. I have a sandwich for lunch and banana and sugar level is around 11 in the afternoon. Don't know what to do.

I am totally with Totto here. Cereals (all types), bread (like for sandwiches) and bananas will make my bg skyrocket!

But I am a Type 2. Maybe the case is different for Type 1 who may compensate through insulin.

Happily escaped diabetes type 2 with LCHF, I'm doing less then 20 g carbs per day and sustain 7-8 hours on my " fat-coffee" also called bullet coffee, butter and coconut oil well mixed with fresh coffee, running on ketones

Black coffee and a cigarette for me, they have no effect on my BS ;-)

I'm currently cycling through these as recurring favourites:

Bulletproof coffee
Green smoothies
Bacon and egg
Cream cheese on Livlife bread
And (new obsession) sausages with onion baagis.

Of them all, the first three are by far the best for my BG!

Gawd l am with bacon and eggs poster any talk of toast of any sort and cerials up goes my bloods. As someone said maybe they are t1...can not tell as on the phone.

@Mud Island Dweller

Also, I just realised that this thread was started in 2007!

Which explains the carb-fest of the early posts. Makes you realise what progress the idea of low carb eating has made. Thank goodness, certainly in my case.

Must admit l didn't look at start point EISH some folks take reading back on threads seriously well spotted who went digging that deep!!

"onion baagis" - do you mean like pakora things? I think we need the recipe!

Please and thank you etc

Ooh google says that "Bee Rawlinson's onion bhajis" are the best ever. Can't wait to get home and try them. Thanks for the idea!
