As some of you will know I have had several surgeries on my left foot over the last few years. The surgeries have fixed what needed fixing (in the end!), but I was left with residual pain and inflammation. My orthopaedic consultant said the only option left was to have a steroid injection into the troublesome joint. I put this off for several months as I was worried about it affecting my blood sugars. Well after getting my lowest ever HbA1c result in November I decided to go for it. 12th December I had a phone call at 1pm saying they had a cancellation and if I could get to the hospital by 2.15pm they could do it. So with little time to get too nervous I went for it. Turns out I needn’t have worried as you can see from my Libre graphs on the day of the injection and the following days. Plus my foot is feeling better. You can clearly see when the injection was performed on the afternoon of 12th but the rise was no more than me going swimming or a brisk walk on other days
