I have recently started on a bolus/basal regime, 4 weeks ago, to try to bring my disturbingly high sugar levels under control. I have slowly increased the insulin, with guidance from my local diabetic team, and kept a record of everything I eat, and have seen my bg's come down to under 10 for the first time, with an average of 7-8. However, for 3 Sundays now, I am noticing in the afternoon, that I feel "wobbly" and my eyes go blurry, and when I test, I am 3-4. I am not doing anything different on Sundays, or eating any more or less than usual. In fact all my days run into each other at the moment, as I am off work for a while, recovering from the op to remove my toe (Said the sugar levels were disturbingly high! ) Luckily, I am now recognising the signs, so it may not be a bad thing, but I just can't understand why! Help please, all suggestions will be looked at, and where necessary, implemented!

Are your activity levels different on a Sunday? Have you been taking long walks for example, prior to your op?

Thanks for your well wishes, Kat, and Bob, I have yet to see a dietician, so have no idea how to carb count, am just trying to eat healthy, balanced meals, with (so far) good results. Ely Dave, I have just realised that my activity levels are different on a Sunday, and my podiatrist and I had a right giggle about it. Sunday is (wait for it) "that" day, and I am so used to it being part of a routine, I had failed to take it into account - FYI, Nookie burns more calories than you or I think!! Slightly embarrassed, but relieved to have an explanation, and all I have to deal with now is my husband asking if my bg's are high, and do I need any help lowering them!
