Why ho why!

We used to have a wonderful GP who listened to what people said, and was willing to say, "I don't know". I can work with that. BS I can't.

Our old practise is now down to 2 GPs, with various ancillary staff, including a couple of ANPs, for 10.6k patients. That can never work, even ignoring other personality issues/clashes.

Of course, time will tell if we have leapt frying pan to fire, but at least with more medics to a similar patient population, there's surely someone to identify with and respect (both ways).

Fingers crossed emoji a gazillion times.

Does 'coded' actually mean you can see the code and check it?
My partner has seen a copy of a letter sent last week, which ends with 'Employment - 'Dismissed from services'. Date of it suggests it is based on a letter 'discharging' them from a clinic, as in no longer being treated.

In the past, doctors were inclined to put your file away after reading it. But I believe that the digital world has connected the dots and strengthened patient / practitioner contact. Also the new breed of doctors are more focused upon prevention and cure. They will ring you if they think necessary. Either this or I am most fortunate with my healthcare in Nottingham!

The beauty of this forum is the world response which gives us so much instant knowledge. It is invaluable. Where I am in the UK, my medical team is so professional in that they work together around you and target your symptoms. They care. I am so lucky. Even with this it has taken me years to realise the implications of my condition and the dawning that I have to monitor my symptoms and try to cure myself. The pills cannot cure you, just move the sugar around. Those readings are not the real story, the insulin resistance is. I had to decide whether to live in the real world or not. Now I am here and see the truth. No more alcohol or ultra processed foods, or bread etc.
