thought id do a random 1 hr test after my granola last week and shock horror ive been hitting the 8s after 1 hour. when i was losing the weight this granola was giving brilliant readings 1 and 2 hours after eating. but this week ive been hitting from 5.2 start right up to 8.3 then back down to 6.2 all week. ive also noticed that even the milk in coffee is giving me a 1mmol spike 1 hour after drinking.
ive been trusting these foods for months now. my nurse said youre tolerances to food will change because of the rapid weight loss. does this mean back to the drawing board? i tried it with greek yogurt and the spike dissapeared probably because the fat content in the yogurt. but i use this yogurt in the night while im on the road as a snack, i cant just live off yogurt surely. any advise please would be gratefull. finding diet and exercise a struggle now as weight is off and finding it difficult to balance exercise to keep levels down against burning calories to stop losing weight. is there any food out there that helps put on weight which isnt riddled in fat or salt. pork scratchings being a must at the mo but the salt content is ridiculous
