Magnesium helps with muscle cramps & When people have type 2 diabetes, they tend to have an increased loss of magnesium through their urine. This may affect insulin action and diabetes control.
In a study of 60 individuals with type 2 diabetes, magnesium supplementation of 300 mg/day of magnesium chloride increased insulin sensitivity.
