Well I've been lowcarbing for 4 mths now and while the weight is coming off - I'm 11 st, and ought to be 10st ish. My bg just isnt moving it hovers around 8, just took it now and its 10.3.
I read other peeps post and low carb really seems to work for them, I'm not on medication and no idea when I 'm due a Drs app. The last one was at diagnoses in early Jan.
Just wondered really what anyone else is doing.

Are you testing you blood glucose levels before a meal and 2 hours after so you know which foods are sending your bg levels up?

I think you should also make another appointment. Most people seem to go again three months after diagnosis, but in the mean time do as Lucy suggests.

I will make another appointment - go through the 'press 1 for... press 2 for... etc etc.
Yeah I have been testing as you state, its a bu**er this bg thing and to be honest if I was eating carbs I could understand it. But I'm veggie so in some ways its easier can't add all the rubbish stuff to veggies, and I'm not one for fake meat either, must be the hidden carbs in my salad like tomatoes!!! OOO its annoying.

Dawn, we should swap...I'll have some of your weight loss and you can have my non-diabetic BG levels - 5.1 last time I checked pre-breakfast - then we could both be happy! :D
