Why?

I've stopped monitoring my bs it reminds me too much when I was in a burns unit as a kid.

So now my blood reader is collecting dust on the side. I've not monitored my blood for 2 weeks now plus I'm too busy and when I'm not to busy I just can't be bothered anymore. I think the main reason is playing guitar and ps5.

But to be honest I really couldn't give a dam about my blood as a whole and it was the same when I had my heart attack at 48.

I should of died when I was 48 then I would have to go through the t2 and what it's all about as to be honest and truthfully I couldn't care less about t2. I'm going to tell my nurse Friday is the last she will hear from me and not to talk about my blood as I'm not interested.

I'm another heart attack guy who burned out a bit from dealing with diabetes.
These days I don't test and just keep my carbs as low as possible: it's not that much of a burden to be honest. You don't have to be super motivated, and it's not a case of being either really gung ho about tackling your diabetes, or completely lax: you can just avoid carbs where possible, do exercise where possible, and still get decent averages in the Hba1c etc. It doesn't need to be all or nothing. I take my meds and do a blood panel every 3 months: it's not really a big impact on day to day life.
I totally get the depression side of things too, but again, it doesn't need to be so grandiose: guitar and PS5 sounds like a good time: you've got Witcher 4 to look forward to. Maybe take a bit of pressure off yourself and take it day by day.
