I have type 2 diabetes and was recently put on insulin as my HbA1c level shot up to 109 mmol, and my doctor decided that medication was useless, hence him starting me on insulin. My sugar levels were constantly in the high 20s at the time too. Since going on insulin, my levels have been all over the place. Most of the day still around 10- 17 mmol and can drop to around 2-3 mmol for no reason. To say I am fed up with it is an understatement to say the least. My insulin has been raised three times now, but so far without any noticeable success.

How many units and what kind of insulin ? I started like you at 129 Hba1c medication was causing no end of other problems and had little effect. I asked to go on insulin and started on Trujeo at 4units a day working up to 44 a day and also use trurapi 5 times a day
it is quite usual to start on very low doses and work up so you and your body get used to it's effects
Do you finger prick for blood sugar levels ?
