Is this ok on the low carb thing? I always thought we couldn't have alcohol but seems I've got a lot of things wrong over the years, could this be one of them? Please? ;)

Most red wines are fine. White ones you need to check for sugar content.

I find wine lowers my bg so often use this as an opportunity to have something nice and naughty like risotto when I drink wine. One glass of wine takes care of two tablespoons risotto.
 
I find red wine has little effect on my bg levels (I'm a type 1 btw).
 
I'm not a wine buff at all, I like liebfraumilch or a light red wine, haven't a clue what type that would be! I used to get Tesco light red wine but they don't do it any more.
I don't know what I'm looking for in wine and thinking about it from a diabetic point of view makes it even more complicated so any advice greatly appreaciated!
 
I'm t1 and red has zero effect on me can't comment on white as I can't stand the stuff :)
