Winter Keepy Uppies Type 2.

Oops I did it again. Got overconfident and pushed myself to do more than I am up to. After exercise in water yesterday and walking round supermarket, I went for an evening woodland walk. Organised lantern event. Walked two hours, with just a few short breaks to sit and rest. Activity monitor was impressed. It is not impressed today, as I have to ignore red marker telling me to move. I am not able to move. Far too sore. Will try some gentle physio and Pilates exercises later, but think I will have to see about claiming average activity for this week instead of daily. I mean, I must have banked enough yesterday to give a few 'rest' days? Lesson learned by me. Little and often is the key.

The pain is worth it, though. It was a lovely evening, and I so enjoyed being out in the open air on such a lovely calm, mild night.
 
Hi everyone. Haven't regular access to the internet atm but I'm keeping on keeping on with cleaning, painting, unpacking etc in the house move. Well, not the house, it's we we who have moved.
The garage is nearly clear of boxes so I can install my car and all its maintenance bits and put up a million shelves and then with a bit of luck it'll be gardening time. We have a mighty overgrown Bramley so for my birthday I asked for a telescopic pruning pole. Timberrrrr!

Managed to walk 4.5 miles today . Knee a bit achy but I'll survive .

Hi deejay. Ask for a pruning pole with an apple picking accessory. Makes the crop easier to reach in the autumn.
 
Still feel fragile. Just 50 minute aquafit session today. It hurt.
 
50 mins aquafit, 10 mins swimming. Nice afternoon, going to potter in garden. Might even unveil the garden furniture for a bit of circuit training.
 
Nice here too , or looking out of my office window anyway lol.

Yeah I often go for a walk at lunchtime , when it's not raining !!.
 
Me again. We have no internet for at least 10 days and poor phone signal so I hope you're being good while I'm away. My daily exercise is still shopping on foot but I'm doing more lifting stuff up than carrying it downstairs. Drilling holes overhead for curtains and blinds is tiring but using a screwdriver above head level is worse. kepp up the good work and see you all again soon ;)
 
A mixed week for me.
Have been back to the swimming pool for aquafit. Medically unfit for much walking or the big scary gym. So will investigate the gentle oldies gym sessions. Some of the people there are 20 years or more older than me, but they keep ticking over with much more energy than I can muster.
I need reminding, little and often. I tend to go a bit into overdrive, when I feel well, then knock myself back and need rest and recovery.
Doh!
 
@Pipp you should get a T shirt with little and often. On it lol.

Hello everybody. Ive been naughty and haven't done a great deal of exercise this week apart from gardening with little grandson. But today I got my act together and went swimming. I swam continuously for 1 hour 5 minutes and did equivalent of 50 standard lengths. I was delighted as I haven't done this for a while but I just felt in the groove today. Hope everyone is having a good day.:)

Went for a 3 mile walk . Lovely day . BS 4.6 went I got home . Not a nice feeling .
