Woohoo I have an appointment with an endocrinologist at last

I have waited 7 weeks from diagnosis to get an appointment and now have one...I may be a bit weird but I am actually excited as I have been left to my own devices and am reading so much conflicting stuff on what to eat (but thanks to this site I think I have that sorted now).
Anyway, I am just wondering what to expect next week with the doctor please?
Is there going to be lots of poking and prodding?
Will I have my blood pressure and cholesterol done as I haven't so far?
Will the doctor be handsome and single and take me off to paradise? :lol:
 
My doctor is the same age as me(62), pleasant looking and has a young wife and children. So that wouldn't fit your last request.
I have NEVER had an appointment with the specialist. It might be a good idea to ring and ask if they want you to get an HbA1c done before you go and do they want you to bring a urine sample? I only see the nurse and that's what she asks for before hand.
