Hi There
I am diagnosed type 2 but in remission at the moment. My worry is that I work in a very busy petrol station and I am nearly 68 years old and terrified. Just don't know whether I should retire.
Live on my own and had a bit of a panic attack last night.
Your thoughts would be very welcome
Thank yoh

Hi,

I've done many jobs in my time. forcourt attendant was one..
Could you take precautions whilst dealing with customers through the glass?
This is a general safty precaution protocol during the night.
However could it be extended during the hours you work?

I have just today decided to self isolate, I am a key worker and months away from retirement health is the number 1 factor in all decision making from here on in for all of us. It is every-bodies duty to do the right thing, whatever that means to YOU!

You will place the Doctors in the posistion of having to leave you off a ventilator and llet you die because sombdy else needs it who has an even greater need and dependants and loved ones. SAD BUT TRUE.

I think you may have missed the word "potentially" out there? None of us has a crystal ball to pre-judge the future.

Good Plan Jaylee... Sadly all to often attendants have to re.stock shelves and go and assist people with any number of things in the smaller garage's. Contactless card payments is going to help however so many still use cash and constant skin contact is unavoidable... the numbers in garages will greatly reduce of course. that said it only takes 1 person to infect you and by the weekend you will have infected (potential) 3 others and by the end of April potential that number will have risen by 100.

Undertood my friend.
I feel garages will need to stay open for key worker's logistics & mobility in all this..
Certain organisations need to stay mobile to help the vulnerable.

I do feel that now is the time to also protect the work force serving the public with food & fuel for essential travel for key workers. With the means to distance & PPE, thus minimising the risks..
