Laws become very difficult in employment regarding contracts and personnel details.
Like you say your honest and ashamed, "that is not good" to be honest yes, ashamed never.

Lea you have nothing to be ashamed about .

I'm type 2 and to be honest quite ashamed of it. Think that's why it has annoyed me so much. I believe the reason was because someone they knew had been diagnosed recently.
I'll get over it just having one of those days when everything gets to me.

Why ashamed. You have a genetic disposition just like the rest of us. If we all knew before hand then we wouldn't be here but we are. No reason to be ashamed. BTW I don't hide my condition at work. In fact I try to educate everyone.
