Just wanted to put out a warning to look out for symptoms. Since being diagnosed with T2 diabetes, I have all but cut out sodas and just settle for water or flavored water with an occasional soda with sugar with no problems. Average glucose readings at 125, however the other day I tried Coca Cola with No Sugar with some bad results. I had breakfast and took my morning pills, (Metformin 1000 mg, Lisinopril 40 mg, and Carvedilol 3.125 mg). About 45 min later I felt sick to my stomach and this lasted pretty much all day. Later in the day I started to feel better after some flushing. Since then everything seems to be better, Coca Cola No Sugar down the drain.

Since cutting out the beer I had a can of zero or Pepsi max a night as a substitute.
I'm only on metformin and to be fair never had any bad experiences or odd readings.
BUT I have read that it can fool the body in thinking you're consuming sugar and raise insulin output ,not sure how true that is.

I’m fine with Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max. I do get a slight rise in blood sugar with no added sugar fruit squashes that contain saccharine though. Did you actually test your blood sugar when you felt unwell? Could it have been something else going on?

I'm fine with it too. It doesn't cause cravings and doesn't really do anything to me. I particularly like it with bourbon :)

Thank God I hate Coke, no matter the variety. Sarsaparilla a different story

Personally I wonder why they add anything to Fruit juice. if you eat the fruit why would you not drink its juice. surely it is the sugar in the fruit which raises your blood sugar not the saccharin possibly with the exception of Lemon of course

Fruit squash has very little actually fruit juice in it. I’ve tried Robinson’s no added sugar orange squash which has saccharine and a carb count of 0.6g carbs per glass which raised my sugar levels a little, whereas Tesco no added sugar lemon squash which has 0.1 carbs per glass which doesn’t affect my sugars at all. Somthe carb count of both is negligible.

Metformin at the same time as a dink that shakes up your inside with the bobbles may not be a good option....
