WOW the nurse said

I'm beginning to realise that my young and new DN isn't going to be supportive ...she said it's her job to manage my diabetes and was angry when I said 'No, you monitor my diabetes twice a year but I manage it on a daily basis ...ergo I test ..' I'll have to go and see my GP I think ...

I feel your pain. Unless she is a diabetic herself, she is at best a 3rd party obsever and a theoratician, and like you say her "care" is a 9 to 5 job as opposed to the patient's 24/7 slog.
 
So much inspiration and real, sound advice here and that's on a daily basis too ...
Still navigating my way around the site though and frequently get lost LOL
An amazing resource for so many of us ...thank you isn't enough ....
