Hi

bought the high fat low carb book and have just made the walnut scones from one of the recipes in the back...as I have a brand new fan oven , they came out too well done ( my fault ) but taste ok.

Wondered if anyone had made anything from the book and any tips?

Have also made the steak and kidney pie but I did add an egg to the "pastry" as it would not bind together well despite my trying and trying...

The whole family enjoyed it too!

I make the choc cake at least twice a week, lovely with xylitol as sugar substitute. Served with cream and a sliced strawberry. The other half of cake is great with a coffee the next day.
Also made the steak and kidney pie without the kidney or the pie...added mushrooms and gently simmer for about 2 hours... It's great!
Scones are nice too, as was the lasagna. The low carb flax bread is an acquired taste I reckon :)

Apricots,
`i think the recipes come from "Eat Fat" by Dr Trudi Deakin from X-Pert Health

I made the Ice Cream and the Cheese Cake yesterday. Both were delicious. I halved the amount of zero or Low calorie Sweetener
