Government is what's wrong.
Same as what's wrong with education.
Governments of left right and centre cannot stop interfering.
They have unqualified and often unelected people interfering.
The NHS needs a trimmed down decent management system.
The wards need matrons and nurses.
Matron should be hiring and firing the cleaning staff.
I'm in my sixties and every general election something is going to be done about education.
Something is going to change about education.
It's always a problem.
A problem that is never resolved just experimented with.
We have unqualified people calling the shots.
We have an idiotic system that seems designed to promote idiocy .... idiocy in suits.

So out of touch with reality that when he came to power as Camerons fag he was asked if he knew what the state pension was.
Not exactly he said but I'll guess at around thirty five pounds a week!
Thirty five quid a week that he thought was generous!
No wonder they think a person on fifty quid a week benefits is sitting pretty.
These people don't know the price of a loaf.
These people are hobbyist politicians.
The whole structure is a joke that is against the interests of you and me.
It's rammed down your throat that this is democracy ... this is the best we can do folks.
What it is is a system of management for the establishment that never changes whoever you elect.
We can elect different styles of management.
We can elect unqualified people.
This guy is health secretary this week education secretary next week foriegn affairs home affairs in charge of armed forces and hey presto chancellor of your money.
Without a single qualification.

So is the NHS free? We have Medicare which is free to those who aren't employed (for whatever reason); otherwise it's 2% of gross income for the employed. Some things are totally covered by Medicare but others we pay for and get a percentage back from Medicare.Thanks for your input. I am looking for worldwide responses too.

Then there's private healthcover which costs an arm an a leg and you get ****** all back half the time. E.g. I went to the dentist on Friday, had a crown and a filling, covered by private health cover and had to pay the gap of $995!!
It's not free we all pay for it.Generally if you need an xray or ultrasound you would get an appointment within 48 hours. Like I said before, you can wait at the practice for a couple of hours and take the xrays and results with you, or they can be sent to your doctor's. Results are emailed to the GP next morning. So a quick turnaround... but maybe we "get what we pay for". Maybe the NHS is **** because it's free?
It's not free we all pay for it.
It's free at point of delivery but not for much longer I fear.
