Yoghurt - low fat?

Good advice at the end though

It’s important to note that many low fat products contain large amounts of sugar which can cause obesity, a risk factor for diabetes.

Now that's a surprising statement to see on the NHS website perhaps DUK should take note ...

Ooooh Black Russians! A rare but delicious treat. Or a baby guinness - a shot of Tia Maria and a shot of Bailey's. I love the sound of Brandy with cream. I don't drink much these days but I must give that a try:)

If you could but see what is lurking in our cocktail cabinet here, sadly much of it purchased not for me or before diagnosis and likely to put my BG into the stratosphere.

We do like our cocktails!

Even the low-fat Greek plain yoghurt is so rich that it tastes full-fat. I go for the full-fat plain yogurts too, and add my own berries. No added sugar in any of this. Hard to believe I am actually losing weight eating so much fat like this, but, I am. :shifty:The carbs and sugars have always been the culprit.

If you want to hedge your bets, Onken do a low fat and relatively low sugar yoghurt which doesn't taste too bad

My favourite yoghurt, wasn't aware they did a low-fat version :)
