Hi everyone.

We are looking for contributors to be part of a feature on BBC Radio 1Extra to share their experience of what it’s like to be a BAME (Black, Asian and Minority's Ethnic) young person in the UK living with type 1 diabetes. If you would like to know more please email [email protected] and we will pass your details to our media team who will contact you in complete confidence with more information.

Many thanks

Edited to clarify BAME

@DCUKMod Does the acronym BAME mean Black And Middle Eastern, the reason I ask is I cannot find anything on Google that is different?

I have never heard of the expression before either...
Minority ethnic

Tipetoo - BAME is a term long used in the UK to refer to black, Asian and minority ethnic people.

I'm pleased to say there has been some response to this, but the opportunity remains open for others.

Let’s just reflect for a moment - perhaps if those saying they had never heard it were in that target demographic it would make sense....

Bump,.................. and up the list we go. :)
