My husband would like to own a fishing tackle place but only open mornings on sidecar his own fishery so he could spend the rest of the day fishing.

now that sounds like a plan

I am ashamed. I don't know where the sidecar came from. It was meant to be site of course.

Not quite the same but there's a guy on St Martins (in the Isles of Scilly) who goes out fishing ,most days, comes home and serves whatever he's caught in his restaurant in the evenings, although I think he also sources some of his fish from other local fishermen, nowadays.

He runs regular music evenings as well, all in a location just above a sandy bay on a virtually unspoilt island. The reality is that life can sometimes be too quiet in places like this, particularly out of season, but I'd give it a go

I would love to be a lecturer at university specalising in mordern European history such as the inter-war years in Weimar Germany, Nazi Germany and life under communism. I've already had to take 3 years out of uni because of the diabetes (on the pump waiting list and then getting settled with it) so hoping to steam forward now! Would love to see my book being sold to wide eyed keen students one day. Writing it would probably help on that front.

Formula 1 mechanic.

If only I could work with my hands, hell yes. Just never one that works on the pitstop. Do NOT want the blame for a 9seconder!

I recently met a guy who used to work for one of the F1 teams. There's a video clip online, that shows a car pulling out of the pits with the fuel line still connected and one of the pit crew, with lightning reflexes, disconnecting it, thus preventing a major disaster. It was this guy who prevented the disaster and he has a very expensive wrist watch which he was given as a thank you by the team.

He's also - at a guess - in his early forties, and retired; he does the odd bit of work from time to time, including for some friends of mine, which is how I met him, but it's to keep himself amused not to pay the bills. I'm sure these guys are well paid but I think, because they're abroad so much, that they don't pay much tax, either.

Nice!

I've always wanted to be an astronaut - inno every boy thought of that at school lol. I often watch videos of the ISS looking down on our planet to music and it relaxes me.

I know someone who grew up to be a train driver. He wouldn't wish it on anyone!

Jobs always look soooooo much better/easier/cushier from the outside, don't they?

Anyone got a spacesuit that Eddie can borrow

Undertaker or mortuary body burner. Honest, I would love to do those jobs...

Commercial airline pilot. Though I don't fancy having to go through the RAF first.

Doing what I do now, but with more pay and a different boss! In the absence of that I am applying for other jobs!
