I'm building up to moving from a flat on one side of town to one on the other, and walking from one to the other yesterday hit my steps target for the day (and more) without even planning it! This is what I want it to be like. And once I start packing up boxes of books, it'll be a sort of weight lifting I'll be happy with, too.
Yes, that's real functional fitness, when it starts to make daily life easier. Went out for dinner last night and up to 13.2 (ARGH) so did 45 min walk and down to 6.7. Today have done 30 mins walking so far but at a business lunch later and then stuck in meeting.
Lada, insulin from the start. I thought I'd covered the carbs but the restaurant had no nutritional values so I must have miscalculated and I don't like to correct close to bed because of hypo risk so walk it was rather than inject.Are you T1 / T2, on medication? I never have to deal with anything above 9 - the highest reading I've had so far, and that only once or twice early on. I'm starting to understand how different we all are although we're all labelled diabetic.
