My name is George,
I'm a 31 year old single mother with type 2 Diabetes. I also have Lupus, depression, anxieties and asthma.
Honestly, I have had Diabetes for about 5 years now and with my weight (it is of some concern because I am at 89kg/191pounds and only 5'1") and general health I need to get it under control. Especially since I can feel myself going downhill.
I'm scared.
I used to be on Metformin, and for a long time I never used it, it always hurt my stomach and made my mouth dry. About 2 years ago I finally started to take them properly and within 2 months I was in hospital and they were taking out my gallbladder. After that we tried again, but it was give me indigestion, bowel problems and make me feel sick constantly. So I stopped taking them (I'm good at this). I had told my doctor over and over that they were giving me these symptoms but over the past 5 years she did nothing at all. It wasn't until I said I was changing doctor's that she finally put me on Gliclazide.
The only problem is I need to take them two times a day and I don't.
Firstly I've never eaten much, ever. Especially not breakfast meals (most breakfast meals make me feel sick) so I don't usually remember to take my medications.
Because of this, I'm starting to notice things, like my eye sight, and my left leg and food is numb (and it happened quick too), I'm hungry all the time even after I eat a good healthy fibrose food. I've been craving sugar like no bodies problems and I just need some advice because my doctors won't give it. They just tell me I'm wildly overweight and that I need to control it better, no suggestions to how either.
I want to take them, I don't want to die like she keeps telling me. *bawls*
Can someone help?
George.
