Hi all, I’ve noticed when I was pregnant I was using size 4 needles...
But I have now noticed I was using size 6 before I was pregnant anyone else had this? And what should I be using now not pregnant?
Thanks

Hi @xkayzx
I am not sure how long ago you were pregnant ... or are pregnant now.
However, there seems to be a recent change towards using smaller needles. I don't think this is related to your pregnancy (at least, I have not been pregnant but y needles were recently changed to smaller ones).
To my understanding, providing you don't have "tough skin", the smaller needles are better: they bruise less and cause less scar tissue to build up.

During pregnancy and afterwards I continued to use 4mm needles. Size in reality makes little difference, although children are advised to have smaller needle sizes, in adults it shouldn't make much difference regarding the action of the insulin.
