2015/16 Football Season

Can I just mention a non-league team, Hereford United got thrown out of the league just over a year ago due to debts and underhand dealings by a very dubious so called business man from Essex (no disrespect to others from Essex) who thought he could buy the team and then sell the ground for building, and were no longer a team. Thankfully due to a wonderful fan base and local firms that believed in them they rose back to life, managed to be able to play at their old ground Edgar Street and recruited lots of young players as well as a few that had played a few years ago for them. Now some of you may remember the original Bulls who famously knocked out first division teams (as it was then) of the FA cup.
They are playing in the Midland League and have recorded, wait for it, 27 STRAIGHT WINS IN ALL COMPETITIONS, I am sure you will agree that that is a fantastic achievement.
I do not live near Hereford but my husband has supported them for a number of years now.

I have been to Edgar Street a couple of times with Rovers!
Hope you can bounce back!

Liverpool lead Stoke 0-1 and Everton lead Man City 2-1 in first legs of league cup. Wonder whos gunna be going to Wembley. I still tip Man City to turn things around

FA Cup today nice little home tie for us with the dreaded Reading. Ironically it was the self same tie last year that saw Reading beat us 0-1 so we need to turn the tables. Although it wouldnt be a bad thing if they knocked us out again then we could concentrate on the league which is where it matters most. We need to get our act together and power up that table away from relegation zone. Transfer window open this month.

Good luck to all those playing today hope you all win :)

Hmm, Crystal Palace - a tricky one, as they're on song and Pardew will want to rub our noses in it again. Probably best for us to bow out of the Cup at a relatively early stage and concentrate on not getting any closer to the drop zone, particularly if Man Ure poach Mané this month .

Incidentally, there's an article in the local paper, inspired by the fact that Gaston Ramirez' contract expires at the end of the season. Without being too unkind, he hasn't really lived up to his potential during his time with us which isn't entirely his fault (various injuries, and being loaned to Hull) but it's also been suggested that, whilst he was OK in the genteel surroundings of Serie A, the Prem was a bit much for him. Anyway, the main point of the article was that they got their calculator out and worked out that, between the transfer fee (£12 m) and his salary (can't remember, but £loads) he has cost The Saints £8,000 for each minute he has been on the pitch. It's a funny old game.......)

2-1 to Palace after 90 minutes, so that's almost certainly that. I see that Eastleigh, another local side, are 1-1 against Bolton with a few minutes to go, having just conceded a goal. They employ quite a physical approach to the game and I guess that, combined with the rather agricultural nature of their home pitch, could have disconcerted the Boltonites.... :)

Blimey we pulled off a draw and a replay a week on Tuesday we had 15 shots 11 were on target and only 2 goals thats bad.

What about Eastleigh almost dumped Bolton out.
Leeds beat Rotherham worst luck Mustapha Carayol who used to play for us scored one of their goals.
All us town fans are laughing at Birmingham James Vaughan who is on loan to Brummies missed a penalty. :D:D

Man Utd play Sheff Utd at 5:30 pm

Well done to Noshers Tranmere won 3-4 :):)

Good luck Carlisle tomorrow hope you win :):)

Yes they struggled last night with Exeter that was a brilliant result for Exeter,

Sorry for you Johnboy

Were playing against Yeovil in round 3 Sunday a home fixture for us at Blackpool, don't know what their pitch will be like as Blackpool played at home today
