Dear Friends,Hope you all are fine and in good health. I am very confused about my glucose tests. My age is 34 and weight is 67Kg. Can anybody tell what is happening to me? About 6 months ago, i got my Fast blood glucose 97 mg/dl. Dr said me to get HBA1C, and it was 5%. After 3 months, i got my fasting glucose 100 mg/dl and postprandial 72 mg/dl. After 2 days, i again got it tested and fasting glucose was 97 mg/dl and postprandial was 67mg/dl. I decided to get my HBA1c again , and this time it was 5.4%. After another 3 months, yesterday, i got my fasting glucose again 100 mg/dl and postprandial got 66 mg/dl. I am confused what is happening? my fasting is coming high and postprandial is low. HBA1c increase by 0.4%. Am i getting diabetes or what? Last 3 fasting glucose readings are 97 , 100, 100 mg/dl. Fasting time was 12 hours. Last 3 Postprandial glucose readings were 71, 67, 66 mg/dl. It was after 2 hours of meal. Frist HBA1c was 5 % and after 3 months HBA1c is 5.4%. Thanks in advance.

Hi, if my working out is right and someone will pick me up on it if I'm wrong but all your readings are within normal range. If your post readings are lower that is not essentially a problem in itself unless you go really low.

No, I don't think you are progressing towards diabetes but only tests can prove it.
Is there any reason why you believe you are?

Thanks for your reply. Actually, in last 2 fasting glucose tests, my readings came 100 mg/dl. And first A1c was 5% and 2nd was 5.4%. And PP glucose came low (72, 67, 66). That's why i was wondering that i might be heading towards diabetes. It is said that 100 mg/dl comes in pre-diabetes range.

If you think you are getting prediabetic, then you need to change your diet, to ensure, that you don't reach diabetic levels.
The easiest way is to reduce your carbs and sugars.
Reduce your plate size.
Increase your exercise.

I wouldn't worry too much at the moment.
Why are testing?

I heard that diabetes is silent killer and i saw one person who has diabetes and got wounds in is feet, eventually dr had to cut his feet off because wounds doe not heal in diabetes. So it is kind of scary disease.

People don't die of the disease they die because of complications due to either high blood glucose levels or of not controlling it.

What you saw was someone who didn't control his condition.
I do and I'm so healthy for my age.
I'm not going anywhere soon.

I wasn't four years ago!

May GOD give you long healthy life. Ok what you think how many gms of carbohydrate i should eat each day?

Thank you for your sentiment!

May your God do likewise.

I cannot say, you do need to eat as healthy as you can.
What I would say, and I kinda like this because it's short and you can remember it.

Reduce your carbs and sugars.
Reduce your plate size.
Increase your exercise.

If you follow that then the spectre of diabetes will be further away.

But, who knows, you could live forever!!!!!!!!!!
