FOOD COMBINATIONS AND BALANCE MATTER

While someone can survive on meat for a time, no one can live a long and healthy life on meat alone. Sorry.

Actually - meat alone is the one thing humans CAN survive on alone for long, is my understanding. I don't have the links, but I did read some very convincing evidence of it once, in terms of the nutritional breakdown.

I really like the Rieske stuff (the biblelife link) @NoCrbs4Me - many thanks for that. It is SUPER emotional language, but the science is good - absolutely. And I got to chuckle at the 'Death by Carbs' chart - I mean - what can I say? My pancreas and liver are shot 'cause I was stupid enough to believe the authorities when they told me to eat a quarter plate of carbs with every meal, when such a diet can kill me. So yeah - death by carbs! Argh!

Oh! The 'Death by Carbs' chart should say the 'Death by Carbohydrates Curve' lol. My bad. (I'm going to print it and put it on my fridge! Not often I get to chuckle at the truth there.)

Aren't they now trying to link antibiotics to dementia as well????

My recent antibiotics had 10 pages of A4 warnings printed!! It did include reactions to the brain as well as muscle ruptures, no calcium etc..

I think theres a lot more to look at than making statements or links generally relating to carbs and dementia...

So you are trying to shift your argument to dementia and a carnivorous diet, when you started by claiming carbs were essential?

Those are two totally separate arguments.

And you still haven't answered any of the questions we have been asking you.
You had indicated it was perfectly healthy to only eat meat. That was my response to that part of your comment. As you are completely aware, I'm sure, not all carbs are the same. Some carbs, most of the carbs eaten by most in the modern diet are very unhealthy but to eliminate all carbs and only eat meat is not a healthy alternative.

Don't think so. I believe it is Statins that they want to push down everybody's throat. They are re-branding them as Neurostatins.

Yes, an all meat diet is healthy. Show me a single study that proves an all meat diet isn't healthy.

Hi @CRPetersen I think you may be getting slightly confused. There are certain foods that out bodies need for their micronutrients such as vitamins, amino acids etc. The macronutrients in Carbs only become glycogen which gets stored as body fat. Too many carbs = too much body fat = health problems. Fats and protein can also become glycogen, but our bodies are not as efficient in converting them, so it is less easy to build up too much fat stores. So, a diabetic like me cuts down on carb intake since it only pushes bgl up, and we make sure we eat a variety of LC foods to provide the micronutrients. We can have a balanced diet without carbs.

I did nothing of the kind.
I mentioned Inuits, but did not indicate that was all they ate was meat.
What i said was that they ate less than the 5+ portions of fruit and veg a day that i eat.

You seem very selective in what you read in posts. It seems to match your selective evidence on diet.

Well nearly all of us on this forum eat some carbs in the form of veggies or a little fruit so I guess we all have the combination right then?
