I'm sorry I don't know, is there a number on your hospital letter you can call? Good luck, sorry I can't be of more help.

I have a rash on both legs the right one being the worst. I have cream for them + gabapentin I have a pain in my groin. the doctors say just keep popping the pills help.

As a general rule it is always good to ask the consultant about medication when your faced with an operation. Most of the time they do say it is ok as long as taken with just a small amount of water. If you forget to ask you can always phone the consultant's secretary (number should be on your referral letter or go through to main switchboard and ask to speak to your consultant's secretary). They will then come back to you with an answer

I hope you got an answer before you had your procedure

even tried 111 and 999 they just don't want to know

I hope you had an answer too but sorry, I just have to comment on the fact that you rang 999 to ask them this question - how on earth is this a life threatening emergency, which is what the number is for? This isn't an emergency. If you are talking about a gastroscopy, which it what it sounds like, then any sedation is mild and short acting. You should have the information about what you need to do on the letter you received, failing hat, as suggested, ring them and ask. They are the right people to contact, not the overworked emergency services!
