drinking water during oral glucose tolerance test

hi,
Just had an oggt done at the hospital. Was instructed not to drink water whilst waiting the 2 hours after drinking the glucose. This is different from instructions and procedures I've found online. Does anyone know why this might be -and what the correct procedure is?
