I take ibuprofen for my back and head aches, but it never accrued to me that they are sugar coated, are they ok? and are there any that's not sugar coated? I'm very new to all this!

The actual sugar content is incredibly low and usually less than half of a calorie. That means you'd have to take at least 8-10 per day to equate to 1gram of sugar. In those quantities, you start to have to worry about the effects it can have on your liver.

Short answer: there isn't enough sugar in them to make a difference. If you're still worried, you can buy liquid gels which come at a price premium.

Talking of head aches I am assuming the one I have today is due to starting a LCHF no sugar diet?

Do not forget ibuprofen can lower BG and has been considered as a possible treatment for hyperglycaemia. So if taken with metformin or such could possibly give you a hypo but you would need to have taken quite a high dose.
