Type 2 Life

5.2 am
which was a slight surprise, feeling a little strange yesterday, hungry and sometimes dizzy.
Had a roast potato with the roast chicken and made a chocolate mouse with Armagnac, probably the best CM I've made.
Before 5.2, 2 hours after 6.8, which the first non 5 post dinner for a long time... no walk last night.. just not feeling like it <Bad> and watched "Undercover", count the holes in the plot... but Sophie Okonedo is very good.
Loaf was baked this morning, the fermentation was long and slow and it actually looks okay. Family bread sorted for the week.
Looking better now in Dundee, so hopefully will get out for a walk at lunchtime.

Just likes, not feeling chatty. Belly ache kept me awake unto gone 3...still gurgling. Hope everyone bank holiday better than this soggy dismal one we have here

Can you not persuade your GP to swap the prescription back or was the old one giving problems.
Well, my bp had started to creep up a little, but I'm going to ask if I can go back to the previous treatment and maybe take a slightly stronger Rx. I don't like this new one at all.

Hi @debrasue when I was having trouble with Rampril my GP changed them and told me that with BP medication it was often 'trial and error' as there was so many choices and it was a case if finding the right one so it may be an idea to go back and try another one.
Yes, I agree. I'm going to call him tomorrow.

I have been taking Losartin for a long time now but since I have lost weight my bp is now in the bottom range of normal.

But after I have had the stents put in next week bp will alter again once every thing settles down am going to ask if ok to come of them altogether.

Well had that sort of blow out meal I've been wanting before going into hospital but did it as a take away rather than going out.

Was Lamb Vindaloo, Peshwari Naan, Pilau Rice, vegetable Bhaji and Poppadoms very nice but could not eat it all any way wish me luck on the aftermath it wont be pretty.

Just realised didn't order a pudding ****.

Good Evening, my friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk type 2 life forum,

I had a good day today this Bank Holiday Monday. I took my metformin and ADHD and Asperger Syndrome symptomotology medication. I had a late breakfast, a bit unconventional for a breakfast, I know, and I was a complete silly billy eating carbs, but it was 3 pork sausages and sauteed chopped onions cooked in Dolmio pasta sauce by my Greek friend Ioanna's Home Care Provider called Dominica last night. I warmed it up in her microwave oven in her small council property kitchen on full power for 3 minutes. I wasn't going to eat a plateful of boiled rice directly afterwards but I still felt a bit hungry so like the no-brainer silly billy I am I surrendered. I don't have any blood glucose testing strips for my bg meter, either to regulate and check my blood sugar. My friend Ioanna gave me a loaf of Tesco every day value white bread and when I returned to my council flat after watching some c-beebies shows on Ioanna's flatscreen hd telly I made 1 marmite sandwich with 2 slices of bread, countrylife English butter and Marmite. I then smoked a few roll-ups and slept deeply for a few hours. I woke up in the sundown time of day and ate 2 slices of Marmite, butterand toast. I'm really curious to find out what my blood sugar is. I'll request some more testing strips tomorrow. Have a lovely day and I wish to make you aware that I've joined an online resource programme at www.diabetes.co.uk/lowcarb and am participating well, have created my profile, uploaded a selfie and am keeping a food diary on it. The lady who facilitates the resource is an adviser called Louise. Hugs to all my special friends.

Well done on joining the online programme, Johnny. I'm sure it will be a big help to you. Hugs :)

Had a row with the other half this evening. Stomped off to bed in disgust without any dinner and ate a whole bar of chocolate instead. It was sugar-free chocolate, but only because that was all there was in the house.
What a very sensible, intelligent, mature way to behave.
I am living proof that it is entirely possible to get older without getting any wiser.

I've been the same this weekend and also today. Although my opponent has been a bit different a long drawn out fight with a tree that needed a haircut, I've had a whole bar of chocolate everyday for the past 4 days it been sugar free as well, it's not effected my BGLs at all but still feel it's been a guilty pleasure and my other half has been very busy academically with her proofreading, which meant I had to attend someone birthday party on Saturday into Sunday and indulged in at least 4 glasses of red wine.
Decided it would be wiser to cut myself some slack for the next two months, and take up the reins in terms of the diet again once I've had the required surgery and recovered.

We may get less wiser as we get older but on the plus side we're mature enough to know its not the end of the world either.
Hope that the peace breaks out soon for you.:headphone:
