As a general comment, Lauren, unless you know what he might prescribe for you, nobody can have a clue whether it has the potential for a positive or negative impact.
Some diabetes medications have an impact immediately and some need to be taken fr several days before they start to show a benefit.
For me, the actual drug would be very important, bearing in mind every medication has pros and cons and I'd want to consider the bigger picture. For instance, some medications help with weight loss, which for me, personally, as I am now, wouldn't necessarily be a great thing, for others it could be a big tick in the positives box. Some medications can tend to encourage weight gain, which folks might find an unattractive prospect.
I guess it also depends how high you go and what the expected impact of the medication on those numbers might mean. Are the highs very high, or just higher than you would really like to achieve?
