Chinese high

Chinese love to fry their meats.. Another thing is the high glycemic jasmine rice and sweet and sour pork, full of sugar and flour. I don't eat those stuff. Prefer steamed fish and stir fry vegetables.

As much as I love the odd Chinese meal,I hate the sugar high 2 hours after meal

I always have a little extra insulin for Chinese. I find the sauces can be deceptively high in carbs, so when I count the carbs, I allow a bit extra insulin. I also always test frequently after to catch any highs.

It's an occasional treat for me so I like to choose my favourites. I do limit my rice though, but will, have a small spring roll and prawn crackers. The very sweet sauces are often like pure sugar so I limit myself to a tiny taste of those.
