Winter Keepy Uppies Type 2.

The autumn weather has been perfect for getting out an about in the fresh air. So I have. Exceeded the steps target set by my activity tracker every day since last Friday. Quite an effort some days dragging my sorry old bones about, and the darn tracker increases the step goal every time I achieve.
I will rise to the challenge. (As long as the fine weather continues)!

I'm making the most of it @Pipp , had a lovely day

today was busy, swim in the morning, 40 mins. A class for ladies of a certain age starts at 10:30 and music that gets played is soooo loud, we need to be in and out before it starts... don't know how they manage.
Evening walk at work after I had dinner, was meant to be 20 mins but took a wrong turn and came across two deer in the dark... I work in a Tech park in Dundee and to see two deer was pretty amazing... turned out to be a 30 min walk.... I work through my evening meal.... honest.

Just a short walk to the local Tesco today , shattered after walking in Scottish Highlands yesterday.

I would think... but on the other hand there aren't that many better places to walk than that at this time of year.

I like walking around Tesco in bad weather. Warm, dry, level floors, wide aisles in the bigger store, and a trolley to lean on when I get tired. Nice cuppa in the cafe when I have finished.
I know. I'm sad!

@hankjam it was stunning as always . Always amazes me how people can afford the clothes etc in House of Brur .

Early morning walk , about 4 miles .

Early morning walk, around Tesco. It was raining. Sunny afternoon so a quick half hour walk through the park for some fresh air. Feet up with a brew.
Planning to get back to swimming pool in the morning. Will check out the oldies gym, too.

I usually scoot a bit on a trolley but last time I tried it was empty and tipped up and deposited me on the floor. So not very clever.
I've fixed up my bike after nearly a year off it and today went out for about an hour. We have a lot of hills here so my breathing rate varied between comfortable and near-death :dead:. Still, no pain no gain. I first rode a bike aged 4 but am self-conscious and try to find clothes that look ok while pedalling but also ok walking if something goes wrong.

Hurrah, @DeejayR ! Whatever else you wear for cycling, put a helmet on.

9000 of these steps were after work , the rain waited until I was out ( without a hood ) and forgot to stop . I'm drenched .
Had to be done .
I've discover the Pacer app on my phone , keeps me motivated lol

I thought I had done well with my 7000+ steps today @Jamrox. You almost put me to shame, but I did, as I said I would, do an hour aquafit, 20 mins swim, and go and enrol for oldies gym class this Thursday. I am on a bit of a roll.

Yeah @Pipp that's good going . I love how we all motivate each other .
I love my stepper app too , have told my family that I need a Fitbit ( or equivalent) for Christmas

My fitness tracker is a cheaper version, a Garmin. It can be synchronised with my fitness pal, so calories consumed are calculated and also tracks sleep patterns. Does for me, @Jamrox.

I was back at a different swimming pool today. Same aqua coach, who won't allow me to slack off. Did an hour aquafit and 20 mins swim before a supermarket stomp 15 mins.

Trouble with all this execrise is that I am too worn out for anything more than an afternoon nap after. Don't know how some folks manage to fit work into the day as well.
More water exercise tomorrow, as I know I have too many appointments next week to fit much in.

Nothing today , think I've got the norovirus so I'm not moving far from my bathroom

Oh dear. Get well soon.
Don't suppose you will appreciate a comment about plenty of runs?
:bag:

More aquafit and swimming. Tired, but comfortable tired.

You poor soul! :yuck:
I really need to buy myself a Fitbit!. My usual 25-30 fast walk to work - and I got there before the bus that I had just got off did! Bus only lanes are such a joke! I've surprised myself in the 9 weeks since diagnosis how quickly my fitness has come back. I walked up to the hairdressers on Saturday in 25 minutes (which would normally have taken me 30) and I wasn't even out of breath. Result!
