Hi @Whitelinen64 there are lots of good articles and I'm tagging @daisy1 who will be along shortly with lots of good information for you including a link to a low-carbohydrate programme which you can follow all of which will help you to have steady blood glucose levels. Have a read of the information then ask any questions you may have and someone will answer. Good luck
William if I lived near you would come and do them for you. Stupid girl.xGood Afternoon Folks.
Just passing time as off to see GP and have my Flu Vaccination today.
Was at Podiatry this morning for an Assessment, it was a different person standing in as the Lovely Woman I usually see was off sick. Anyhow, the 'young girl' said I'll just give your toenails a quick trim, while your here, which she did and then blood began dripping from my Big Toe! Silly ***** had "nicked" my skin - she dabbed it, sprayed it with something that stung like crazy, then put a dressing on my big toe. Then, told me to take the dressing off after 3 days and if? It looks 'infected' = see my GP. =?????
She looked like she should still be at school!!! Give me an older person who at least knows what they are doing. And I am being kept on the list for Footcare every 3 - 4 months.(I have got her name - so, when I phone up for an appointment will ask if 'she' is not available).
@ Liam 1955 poor Liam you are having it rough recently, hope your toe heals soon, I had same thing once, even was sent to have 2 nails removed of both feet once, when arrived doctor said why are you doing that they don't need, I was confused but had nails removed from one foot but it took many months to heal as had infection, apparently I was diabetic that's why it didn't heal only I didn't know st the time I was diabetic & I went abroad same time & had to change dressings twice a day, needless to say I never had second foot done, so take care get well soon xGood Afternoon Folks.

Tell the nurse you could of done a better job yourself. Mind you Ron cuts his own nails to . I just check them for dry skin and the like. He says while he can he will.Oh, You are so kind @tina_marie Bless You. I can cut them myself and have done, but, they always "tell me off" for doing them myself!!!
It was the Diabetes Nurse who referred me about 5 years ago, I had stubbed my big toe on the leg of the table. Went to Cyprus and my Toe nail disappeared in the Sea. And Twice since I have snagged/stubbed the same toe and lost the whole nail. And guess which big toe it was that got nicked today? = yeah. Got appt for Thursday for the Practise Nurse to take dressing off and have a look at it.![]()
No way . People like you and Ron are real troopers.And.... GP gave me X Ray form to go and have another x Ray done on my knee cap that I fractured in June. Still cannot bend my leg or kneel on it and it aches and got a hard lump on the front of my knee cap.
Do you think I'm a " walking disaster " ??![]()
I know! I mean...who wants to check out a guys nether regions!![]()
