What do you miss most from being diabetic

When I go to IKEA it's usually because I crave a slice of their apple cake although it's not really that sweet and has cinnamon! It was my birthday yesterday and I was sorely tempted, but didn't go just in case ..... ! lol

wow I would not have been that strong on my birthday...happy birthday dear Asparagusp :);)

Used to be the chippy now it's still the chippy LOL

Having a few beers, when I go up the bar on a friday night its one coke light then water while they have beer s and wine. I do cry a lot on friday nights

Its only 4 weeks to christmas and I will try (1) then, only problem maybe because of my age I have problems counting

why don´t you take a whisky or a gin, those kinds of spirits if only 1
Or a Tia Maria coffee I used to make them for a friend of mine who was a T2 long before me using sweetener instead of sugar it's now one of his favorite Christmas treats and mine.

Definitely Tesco's tiger loaf,

Can't bear to go near the bread counter any more because the smell is so tempting!

Food wise I don't miss much as I carb count and have a good grasp on my ratios.

Life wise I miss my freedom. From the minute I wake to last thing at night diabetes is on my mind.

It's had a massive affect on my self confidence as I was poorly controlled for the first 5 years of diagnosis and I beat myself up for it but I'm getting over it.

But hey ho such is life. My mum always said if everyone threw their problems into the middle of the room and could pick any problem back up wed each pick our own. True for me. Some people are having an awful time in life and now I'm not doing too bad. Thanks be to God :)

Carrying the kit around all the time and not leaving the house without a check to see that the meter, finger sticker, test strips, insulin, snacks, tissues....are in the kit.
