Why is my profile page saying junked art?

That would be the username you chose when you registered/joined.

If you wish to change it, can you post here and let me know and I'll ask the tech team to help.

Seems you have joined OK... welcome to the forum :)

But you have set your user name as @Junked art. I you want to change it, you will have to ask @Administrator
Ok - no problem :)

Bear in mind it's the weekend so it may not be sorted until next week, but it will be done as soon as possible by @CaptainEarle or @CaptainWard or @Giverny :)
thats brill, I've got another problem... I have forgotten my password to sign in with, please can you help me with this? Yes I am a typical blonde ha ha

There should be a Forgotten Password link on the sign in page. Click that and that should sort it for you by either giving you a temporary password to sign in with that you can change to a more memorable one, or by emailing details to you.

Up again at silly o'clock when most people are sleeping. I've been type 1 diabetic since I was 14 years and now I'm 50 with a few complications. New to all this as I've never been in a chat room before so don't know if this is right or wrong way of doing things love Jade 0106

Hi @Jade0106

Hi @Jade0106
welcome to the forum :)
I was diagnosed aged 14 too
I remember testing my sugars with urine in a test tube mine always came back orange which usually ment sugars were high and I remember counting carbs back then, which were called exchanges for example
1 egg size potatoe was 1 exchange
6 chips was 1 exchange
1 medium slice of brown bread was 1 exchange
All meat and fish free to eat
Looking back to 1980 all the carbs that were called exchanges have done a full circle but called carbs now
Just thinking back to the strict diet we had to do back then and being a hormonal 14 year old, hated everything about being diabetic, don't like it much now, especially with all my complications I've suffered over the last 20 odd years ago, but did manage to bring into this world 2 beautiful twin girls now age 22 and my wonderful Son after who is 20 now, I'm also a proud Nanny of my 1st granddaughter. I will leave my bit of memories to all you other long term type 1s and type 2s to catch up on the good old days of being a diabetic and for us to remember what it was like
Will go into more detail about my complications when I feel able to face up to them
Many thanks Jade0106

Can anyone remember what it was like 36 years ago?
yep I can remember -- 1 injection a day made up by mixing 2 insulins together.
really strict diet , eating at the same times every day , my hypo treatment was little 200ml tins of orange juice
everything green was "free" to eat ,

my memories are more of all the changes that have happened in the last 20 odd years in terms of testing , additional meds to prevent complications( BP , cholesterol) , regime changes ( MDI ) , more treatments ( laser ,etc )
