Forgot insulin at home...

Hi, I just arrived in Sweden with a boat from Finland and I just realised that I forgot my insulin (novorapid) at home... I'm really nervous and don't know what to do. Will the hospital in Sweden be able to give me a receipt for Novorapid? If not, what should I do then? I'll be in Sweden for a week and got about 100 ml left.

Last year I did a similar thing going to France - fortunately I was able to buy some Novorapid pens over the count at a pharmacist - not sure if that's possible in Sweden. But it wasn't cheap!

Well I had forgotten my levemir too - yes twice the idiot I thought I was!

So a box of 5 novorapid disposable pens and a box of 5 levemir disposable pens was about 120 euros if memory serves me right. One was a bit more than the other - can't remember which one though.

****, that isn't cheap. It might be cheaper for me because I've got a pump, so all I need is the medicine.
I hope you won't forget your insulin again. And thank you for your replies.

Hey! Novorapid should be easy to get but the cost will be cheap as you aren't on prescription there ( I paid €80 for one box of lantus..) Scandinavia has so many diabetics that they should be able to provide pretty much anything required for you. Pharmacist may also point you towards a hospital if necessary. Good luck!!
