- People telling me how to control my diabetes. My health. Isms. People walking their dogs off leads in illegal areas. Meat that bleeds. Late buses.
Just sit there with a smug smile thinking on how all these idiots are poisoning them selves it's how you feel about it if you allow yourself to feel left out or are missing out on something then it will be torture so don't, feel the superiority of the low carber instead.
No one having pizza on one day is poisoning themselves. There is no need to be smug. In fact I think this sends a dangerous message. Many people can have a pizza every now and then and nothing happens. Everything in life is moderation. Many in life are at the epitome of health without following a no carb diet. Everyone needs to find what works for them, and that is not what is always the majority and not always what the current textbooks say. Read a book from ten years ago and see what it said for diabetes or health or anything else? Calling people who eat pizza idiots is pathetic.
Diet advice changes all the time. We have no right to call people anything when it does so. I've tried no and lo carb for instance. My diabetes nearly killed me. I'm not the 'standard', my betes doesn't work that way. I balance best on carbs. I can eat a huge pizza of cheese and crust and **** and have my bg never change because I've cracked that nugget but I will never understand what my body does at 4am.
Stop judging people. The only diabetic who knows their diabetes is them.
