Paleo?

Did you hear about the vegan dietician who strongly opposed Paleo because:"it's dangerous to omit whole food groups in any diet":)
Not sure if that was a joke or not, but I'll bite ;) I don't know much about the paleo way of eating, but I think it excludes grains and legumes. For a vegan, that would be removing a lot of staple foods. To not eat animals is not omitting a food group if you do not consider animals to be a "food group" in the first place.

Also, dieticians say a lot of things :blackeye:

@ghost_whistler Maybe best not to get bogged down with labels. If your way of eating is for life, it has to be enjoyable to be sustainable. Good luck :)

My comments are nothing more than light hearted banter, but I do believe that a vegan dietician DID actually say that! The point I was trying to raise was the irony that the Paleo dieters don't consume dairy (cavemen didn't milk yaks, cows goats etc) and the same goes for vegans (can't eat any animal sourced products). Vegetarians are a bit more relaxed and just don't eat meat.;)
