Just woke up with bgl at 2.7. I am feeling terrible, shaking, sweating and nauseous. Very confused and disorientated. I have something to eat but I am reluctant to go back to sleep.

Have some glucose tablets or Lucozade to bring your sugar up, then follow that up,with some longer-acting carbs like bread or digestive biscuits, etc.

If you're still nervous about sleeping, I suggest waiting until your BS is at a safe level for you then going back to bed but setting an alarm to retest.
