World Heart Federation President " Increase in Carbohydrate intake increases risk of CVD"

Your link comes up as private now @bulkbiker . ?
I was looking for this on YouTube to send to a non diabetic friend and couldn't find it there.
I did find another link last night so she has seen it now. That link has gone too ?
It was linked on diet doctor and twitter but those don't work now either ?

Yes, it's vindication for all zerocarbers and also low carbers, ketogenic dieters. intermittent fasters.

Hi BB,

Just to clarify (for my own understanding) was the previous video link removed from YouTube, or by DCUK?

Is it possible to edit your original post to update the Youtube link to the correct/new one - less confusing than having two separate threads maybe?

Now done.. It does make the reading a bit odd but the info is there which is the most important bit. And of course we must remember that the presentation is for all people and not just those with Type 2 diabetes.

At 1.46 he says increasing fats are protective,, this is all fats...
May be worth watching again?
Certainly, if someone has mirrored the clip.

But can we be sure he means all fats? Arent' there differences between them; otherwise why bother separating between saturated, mono and poly?

Didn't he say something about them all being equal as far as CVD is concerned?

I've read that Omega 6 type of fats, and i'm not sure what they are, is unhealthy. Is this true?

Some of the things I buy don't go into great detail about the types of fat within.

3 seconds on google...

"Most omega-6 fatty acids in the diet come from vegetable oils

What foods are high in omega 6?
Vegetable Oils & FatsHigh in Omega-6 (per tablespoon): Grape Seed Oil (9744mg), Sunflower Oil (9198mg), Corn Oil (7452mg), Wheat Germ Oil (7672mg), Soybean Oil (7059mg), Shortening (4771mg), and Margarine (3323mg)"

So oils produced by processing ... best avoided.. if you are following a real food LCHF diet you will be fine.
