Type 1 Thyroid result

Hi , My doctor got my thyroid checked , because I had hypothyroidism symptoms , weight gain , trouble losing weight , I'm constantly tired
And my results were
TSH 1.2971 range 0.58 3.8
Free T4 0.88 range 0.97 1.25
T3 1.62 range 1.62 0.58!- 1.59

Does anyone now if these results are normal?
Pd : I'm not on metformin and have never been

There is a problem if one is on metformin ; the metformin seems to destroy TSH / or reduce it , but only in hypo thyroid persons, this will result in a too low TSH and a masking of hypothyroidism as if one had much higher levels as one really have.
So when on metformin TSH can not be a trusted guide alone and it seems to continue over time, my GP didn't know that and was busy lowering me time after time which I denied as I knew I was not hyperthyroid . Then I started to look for What the f.ck could be the matter and were lucky to stumble over that information from a large study

Your free T4 is below the normal range,
It would be normal for your pituitary to have raised the level of TSH to encourage more to be produced, but that doesn't happen if you have a defunct thyroid - Metformin has destroyed the extra, so giving a false normal for TSH.

Look at Thyroid UK's website they have a page showing acceptable blood test results that's easy to understand. GP's are not experts so don't always know the best course of action

Very interesting as I'm type 1 (33 years) on a pump but very insulin resistant so agreed to take Metformin. They kept telling me I was too high although I knew I wasn't and I refused to change my meds: stopped taking Metformin (gastroparesis) as it caused major stomach problems so now my results have changed drastically so sounds like it was the Metformin. All trial and error but my GPS are great and actually listen to me and how I feel.
