2 hours after my dinner, my BS was 5.7. I'm delighted by this reading as mine had been much higher than that in the last week.
One question for you. Are you taking note of the advice to reduce carbs as mentioned by everyone on this thread?
What have you eaten yesterday and today?
I had corn on the cob, anchovies, fish cakes.
A Hershey bar is 26g of carbs, so eating 2 Hershey bars would be almost the same amount of carbs as the cereal...It turns up that it is carbs of 50 g & 8 g sugar for every 100 g of muesli
Corn on the cob is not low carb. Sweetcorn is a grain with a lot of sugar - one cob is about 25gm of carb. There are better options.
What was in your fishcakes apart from fish? Potato? Were they breadcrumbed? If so, and with the high carb corn, you were very lucky to have a level of 5.7.
But you aren't on insulin - I thought - why would you go hypo?
Oh, I wouldn't. I thought anyone with diabetes could run into it.
I was told by doctor to not eat after 10 pm and if bs is 8ish should be okay.
