Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Been away for a bit. 6.7 this morning. Bit rubbish, was low carb yesterday and walked and swam. I know it will come down when work stress goes away.

Kinda feeling like I did at diagnosis when also stressed so it proves it has big effect on my FBG. Onwards & upwards though, I won't be beaten!

Thank you

Yes was only diagnosed in march ended up straight in hospital with vomiting from it all very poorly and spent two days on sliding scale
then went through tablets but very quickly found they not worked

So Dr moved me straight to insulin .
Golly, tough for you. Good luck. Keep posting with us.

Good morning at 6am my reading was 5.3

ps feeling a bit flat this morning
I'm so sorry o' wise one. :(. Take some of our positivity from us, you're so generous with yours it's only fair you draw a bit from us . :) I hope you're camera and little Penny can lift you. :joyful:

5.5 this morning, the lowest morning reading for a while. This is confusing and strange given that I was at a party last night and consumed a quantity of carby buffet food and a large slice of chocolate cake!
Maybe your "relaxed" state helped keep the number low:rolleyes::D

You'll soon be back to your normal 5s. The norm is good. Special occasions are also good. We all are entitled to a break from fighting high bgs. It's the getting back on the horse which makes us the Winners! :) :) :)

A lie in so fbg 4.0 on less insulin. A stressful week ahead. Forgot to re-order aspirin so local chemist trip tomorrow too on top of pre-assessment for angiogram, shopping for 4yr olds birthday through the week and try to walk and breathe throughout. I think latter will make all the difference. Pain permitting too.
I wonder how high my bgs would be with no meds? 20+ probables.
