Being the pedant I am, I'd phrase it commonly experienced rather than normal. Many do experience this, but certainly not everyone.

For those who experience it things have usually settled again within a very few weeks, and it may come and go for you over those weeks.

Yes it does, prior to my diagnosis and treatment I was almost blind. Since then my eyesight has improved dramatically.
