BBC news are saying Robert Hardy has sadly passed away today, loved him as Siegfried Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small, watched the repeats of All Creatures many a time and they are always as enjoyable as the first time of watching.

He was and very good too by all accounts, watched the first film and fell asleep watching the second (I'd taken the kids to the cinema to watch it after working a night-shift ).
