Diabetes meds and insulin

Hi to all,

I have lost weight using no carbs and eating healthily my weight seems to come off when i dont use insulin or take slow release met but docs says i have to take them but its not them who carnt cope with my weight its me.

So what do i do if my weight increases slow release met x 2 per day and 6 units of insulin x2 per day.

Is it just me with this problem or someone else 2.

What do i do.

What are your no carbs meals like?

Weightloss with high glucose readings are unhealthy and dangerous as there is significant muscle loss...the doctor is right in prescribing insulin and metformin to bring glucose down to a safer level.

Cottage cheese n ham.mince n cauliflower
Onions.meat n veg.scrambled eggs n tomatoes.boiled eggs.veg pancake.
Cheese n tomatoes.ect.soup.i dont see how bs can be up lol with eating less.

Your body could be releasing glucose from the liver.
How long have you been diagnosed?
Are you sure it is type 2?
What are you drinking?

If you need injections to control your glucose levels, I would strongly consider a GLP-1 RA jab such as victoza which is not insulin, helps lose weight and protects gainst heart attack and stroke (which insulin does not). It is more expensive than insulin in the doses you are prescribed, but avoiding a heart atttack also saves money, and victoza does not need so much glucose monitoring as insulin.
