So after having a hypo early this morning being 2.0 i had some jaffa cakes and 4 sweets if i had 2 sweets less i think I would have been ok but when I go low i eat anything in sight my bm was 14.5 then I went out came back & ate 2 pieces of wholemeal toast with smoked salmon and 2 packets of space raiders and some chilli coated nuts then had 9 units of insulin now it's just a waiting game

No sweets or jaffa cakes to treat a hypo won't bring blood up! Just lucozade then later after hypo eat carbs.
Long standing type1 just finished Dafne course. Hope this is a.help.

hi @Jazzman75

there are any number of hypo treatments available

fruit juice ( orange or apple are my favourites ) , glucose tablets ( available from pharmacies or supermarkets )

milk , fruit pastilles , jelly babies , -- any of these will do the job.

I only drink blueberry juice oj and i don't really like any of those sweets & i hate glucose tablets I've always been told when I have a hypo to treat myself to something i might like

totally agree with your thoughts on using something you like !!!!!!

the trick is to make sure you always have what you like close to you in case of experiencing a hypo

for me , keeping fruit pastilles beside me in my bed works.

during the day -- there is always fruit juice in my fridge.

we all have to adapt what we do to our lifestyle.

hope this helps .
