I had diabetes in 2010 and got rid of it using Optifast and 20 Kg weight (somehow managed to get it then, self funded). Unfortunately due to stressful events got back the weight and diabetes in 2014. Now for over a year I am trying to get Optifast high protein drink, but have been unsuccessful.

Nestle will not give without prescription and the GP will not prescribe (even after I promise that I will pay for it). Unfortunately, NHS is very opaque in situations like this and I am unable to get any information on this.

I have tried other drinks and ways, but unable to sustain, I am guessing because some or the other nutrient is missing from these. Since I have done Nestle one, once; I have reasons to be confident I can do this again.

Any idea, how to obtain the Optifast (high protein and not the 800 one, that is too sugary).
